Unfortunately, I almost never get any screenings through my job (or ex-job, at the moment, since we're on hiatus). However, for the last 20 years I've belonged to a theater club called Audience Extras. Through AE, I saw "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" last week.
It was simplistic, manipulative, and had a few plot holes - and I cried anyway. At one point, it sounded like the entire sophisticated Manhattan screening audience was in tears.
More evidence that I'm far from an intellectual.
