"Lives" is opening more widely this week, so see it already. 95% on Rotten Tomatoes, just like "Wordplay."
They ("they" being generic Hollywood) are also remaking "Revenge of the Nerds." Is nothing sacred? But wait, reports indicate that production was shut down due to location problems. Let's keep it that way.
I don't like remakes when the original was within my lifetime, and especially when the original was perfectly good.
There is nothing new under the sun.
Speaking of things that aren't new, I finished "Crosswords Club, v. 7" (ed. by Will Weng). This was sitting in a pile half-finished, so I finished it. There was a coupon in the back for a free Dell crossword dictionary, but it expired February 22. 1991.
Much more relevant were Matt Gaffney's "TV Crosswords." Good, fast, and pop culty.
I'm still not close to finishing a regular book, probably because I have 9 going at once.
