Although I'm diet-conscious, I never buy part-skim shredded cheese. It doesn't melt well. It's not gooey and creamy and rich and tasty like regular cheese, and the cut in calories just isn't worth it.

In last week's Fresh Direct order, I took advantage of a $10 discount if you order from one of their recipes. I got the ingredients for (but didn't make) spinach lasagna.

Tonight I used the shredded mozzarella to make a vegetable cheese casserole and discovered they'd given me part-skim. Ugh. I used it anyway, and it really isn't as good as normal cheese.

I still have half the package, but I'm tempted to ditch it.

This is incredibly trivial compared to real issues like an NYT forumite's announcement that his wife is seriously ill.
