I've had a coughy cold and want to be well to see 10 Tribeca movies next week, so have been taking it easy. At least, that's my excuse for not doing various things.

Tonight's thing was a meeting for my building complex. Judging from the coverage of the last meeting, these gatherings are strongly anti-development. While I'm not thrilled with constant construction noise and don't want cranes falling or buildings collapsing, I'm looking forward to the new stores and increased foot traffic (more people = safer). Still, can't hurt to hear the other side.

I had an opportunity to go to a Radio City speaker series Monday where the main draw was Anderson Cooper. I hemmed and hawed, thinking I wasn't that interested in political talk, and then it was already booked.

MoMA has had movies I could have seen, but I haven't gotten back there yet.

The season for terrace-sitting has begun, but I still haven't gotten out there. It's too noisy (construction!) and sunny during the day, and too cool at night. Even though it's probably not that cool. I just have to get in the habit again.

I did go to:

1) Seder at A & B's Sunday. Same great Moroccan food as last year. Baby S (22 months) is different every time I see her. They'll be moving shortly to a place around the corner with a more kid-friendly layout.

2) "Martha Stewart Show" taping yesterday, extending those minutes of fame. Will was a guest, and Ditto and I speak from the audience. Tihz Wa constructed puzzles for the occasion, and is also in the audience. More after it airs Friday 5/2.

I read "She's Come Undone" by Wally Lamb. The main character, Dolores, is my age so the soundtrack of her life is familiar. Her (fictional) life is rough and not very sane, but interesting to read.

Before I could follow up my original phone call with a complaining letter, Fresh Direct came through with the credits for last Saturday's unfrozen foods. I placed another order with nothing frozen. That's the way it's going to have to be.

"Chexy" was one of the wittiest people in the old AOL NYT crossword chatroom. He went on to work at a major Hollywood gossip site and now has his own blog.

Today I did laundry (yay!).
